Helix sells several different mattress models with the ability to customize and choose from further options for each model.

The Sunset and Moonlight models are softer, the Dusk and Midnight models have a medium-firm feel, and the Twilight and Dawn models are firm. For each of these, you can choose between the Standard option and the Luxe option that has added features and is 4” taller.

For sleepers with a heavier body weight, Helix offers the Nightfall mattress, and for people who want a mattress with a different feel on each side, the company sells the Dual Balanced and Dual Extra models.

Side Sleepers

A side sleeper is simply someone who sleeps on their side. You can count yourself among their ranks if you shun sleeping on your back or stomach in exchange for sleeping with your hip and shoulder right on the mattress.

Most people are side sleepers over 70 percent of us, according to one study. Although sleeping on one’s back is ideal for spinal support, side sleeping is the next best thing. Side sleeping can also help alleviate snoring and symptoms of sleep apnea. Doctors also recommend side sleeping over back sleeping for any women who are pregnant. Best Mattress for Side Sleepers

Left-side sleepers experience a lower risk of heartburn and acid reflux. And doctors advise pregnant women to sleep on their left side for better blood flow.

Back sleepers

Back sleepers: back sleepers can benefit from a responsive mattress with moderate contouring. At the same time, they need a mattress that is relatively firm. Without a really firm mattress, the middle of the body tends to sink more into the bed than the rest of the body, misaligning the spine. Lower-weight back sleepers have less risk of this problem because they do not sink as much into the foam.

Because of their firmness level, the Helix Dusk and Dusk Luxe mattresses are best for back sleepers who weigh under 130 pounds. They are a good option for back sleepers under 230 pounds although some may find them too soft as will most back sleepers above 230 pounds. Best Mattress for Back Sleepers

Sleeping on your back may not be at the top of your sleeping agenda, but it is good for you. If you have chronic back pain, make sure your mattress is up to par. You can’t sleep well if you aren’t on a comfortable mattress, especially if you are doing it on your back.

Stomach Sleepers

When it comes to sleeping on your stomach, many people want to know if that position is damaging to their health. In short, yes it is. Even though it can help prevent sleep apnea and reduce snoring, this position has a negative impact on your back and neck, which leads to poor sleep and the feeling of discomfort throughout the whole the day.

But to be fair and honest, stomach sleep has a few benefits. For one, it’s a great alternative position for those who have snoring problems or suffer from sleep apnea. Stomach sleeping is also a better position than back sleeping for reducing heartburn and indigestion. Best Mattress for Stomach Sleepers

If you're a stomach slleper, we would advise you to try changing your sleep position as soon as possible to avoid these severe consequences. Of course, you don't have to do it immediately – try lying on your back or your side while you're relaxing during the day, and then it might just become your habit during the night. If it still doesn't help you, check out the tips mentioned below, which will, at least, help you avoid the possible complications.

Tips For Stomach Sleepers

Despite all these warnings, some people have been sleeping in this position for their whole lives and don't want to make a change. If you're one of them, check out these tips – they will help you avoid potential complications:

Always use a thin pillow, or don't use a pillow at all. The flatter the pillow, the less angled your neck and the head will be.

Choose a mattress designed for front sleepers. Typically, that means a slightly firmer than average bed. It will allow you to get a good night's rest on your stomach.

Putting a pillow under your pelvis will really help. It will keep your back in a more neutral position, taking the pressure off your spine.

A couple of minutes of stretching in the morning will help you to put your body back into alignment and strengthen the supporting muscles. Always start the stretching session with a little bit of warm up, and be gentle!
